Day 1: Moshi – Lake Manyara National Park
  • Destination: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up in Moshi by our professional safari guide and driver, who will provide a brief overview of your safari. From there, you’ll journey west to the stunning Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife areas, featuring a massive shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of the park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse habitats attract a wide variety of wildlife, including:

  • Large herds of elephants
  • Famous tree-climbing lions
  • Flocks of flamingos drawn to the lake’s algae
  • Other wildlife such as zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, and hippos

You’ll enjoy a delightful lunch within the park before continuing your safari. In the evening, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti Plains

Wake up early for breakfast, then depart for the Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

As you descend into the heart of the Serengeti, you’ll be greeted by endless plains stretching far into the horizon. You’ll head to the central area known as Seronera, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, where the Seronera River provides a vital water source for the area’s diverse fauna.

Arriving in time for lunch, you’ll then set off on an afternoon game drive through the iconic Serengeti National Park. In the evening, you’ll transfer to your chosen accommodation for the night.

Day 3: Serengeti Plains

Today offers the chance for an unforgettable experience a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti Plains (available at additional cost with prior arrangement). As you float above the awakening bush, you’ll spot wildlife and enjoy stunning vistas across rivers and villages.

After breakfast, embark on a game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the southern plains of Seronera, providing excellent opportunities to spot lions, Thomson’s gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs.

Visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre to learn more about the park’s wildlife and history, where you can also enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of giant acacia trees.

In the afternoon, follow the Kopjes Circuit, a route known for its granite outcrops that attract lions and other wildlife. The kopjes serve as miniature ecosystems, perfect for spotting animals during the dry season.

Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations in the Seronera area, tailored to your accommodation preferences.

Day 4: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop at Olduvai Gorge, a site rich in archaeological significance. This is where Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered early hominid fossils that are vital to our understanding of human evolution.

Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon of leisure.

Dinner and overnight accommodations will be arranged on the crater rim, as there is no lodging available within the crater itself.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
  • Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos.

The crater’s abundant wildlife includes:

  • Herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and elephants
  • A diverse range of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and elusive leopards

Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations outside the crater, tailored to your preferences.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The park features a diverse landscape, characterized by acacia woodlands and giant African Baobab trees, along with vast swamp areas that attract wildlife during the dry season.

Tarangire is renowned for:

  • Some of the largest elephant herds in Africa
  • Opportunities to spot hartebeests, gazelles, and exotic birds like the bateleur and martial eagle

Enjoy lunch inside the park before continuing your safari. In the evening, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the night.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park – Arusha
