These safari packages are perfect for a short yet unforgettable adventure. You’ll spend one day exploring the stunningTarangire National Parkor Lake Manyara National Park, two days in the iconicSerengeti, and the final day in the world-renownedNgorongoro Crater.

The Serengeti is rightly regarded as a treasure of global wildlife, offering unparalleled opportunities to witness Africa’s majestic animals in their natural habitat. You’ll have the chance to see lions lounging, elusive leopards on the hunt, and graceful antelopes roaming the plains.

One of the advantages of these itineraries is the increased chance to spot rare African species. Look out for pythons, gemsboks, elands, servals, caracals, secretary birds, crocodiles, black rhinos, and many more extraordinary animals that make Africa’s wilderness so special.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. The journey takes around 4-5 hours, so sit back, relax, and get acquainted with your Pasema Adventures guide.

Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a 4-5 hour game drive through this park, known for its large elephant population and iconic baobab trees. While elephants are a highlight, you may also spot giraffes, antelopes, lions, and possibly cheetahs, though sightings are never guaranteed. A packed lunch will be provided, but be wary of the mischievous vervet monkeys who might try to steal a bite!

At around 4:00 PM, you’ll leave the park and head to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and your first overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

The second day begins early, around 7:00 AM, as you pack up and drive towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. En route, you’ll stop at a traditional Maasai Boma to experience the unique culture and way of life of the Maasai people.

You’ll enter the Serengeti around noon and spend the afternoon exploring the endless plains, searching for one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events—the Great Migration. After an exciting game drive, you’ll head to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to a full day of exploring the Serengeti. You’ll witness the incredible diversity of wildlife, from mammals to birds and reptiles, all set against the park’s stunning landscapes. The Serengeti is also renowned for its breathtaking sunsets, so keep your camera ready.

After an exciting day, you’ll return to your tented camp or lodge for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Another early start takes you to the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big 5. The crater’s diverse ecosystem supports roughly 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 elands, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, and 30 rhinos, among many others. With its 610-meter depth and 260 square kilometers of space, the crater offers countless opportunities for wildlife sightings, so make sure your camera is ready!

After a picnic lunch, you’ll begin your journey back to Moshi or Arusha, or be dropped off at the airport. There will also be a quick stop at some local shops to pick up souvenirs before concluding your safari.

This 4-day safari is designed to immerse you in Tanzania’s unparalleled wildlife and landscapes, offering a truly unforgettable adventure.

Day 1: Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park
  • Travel Time: 4.5 hours (202 km)
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from Moshi by your safari guide, who will provide a brief introduction to the adventure. You’ll travel west toward the Great Rift Valley and arrive at Lake Manyara National Park just in time for lunch.

The park is dramatically located at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment, with a shallow soda lake covering much of its area. The varied habitats within the park attract an array of wildlife, including:

  • Elephants: One of Africa’s most densely populated elephant habitats.
  • Tree-climbing Lions: A rare and fascinating sight.
  • Flamingos: Large flocks gather due to the algae in the lake.
  • Other Wildlife: Zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, and hippos are also commonly seen.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. In the evening, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most remarkable wildlife areas in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to around 30,000 animals, including:

  • Black Rhino: Some of the last remaining in Tanzania.
  • Wildebeest, Zebra, and Buffalo: Large herds roam freely.
  • Predators: Lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and elusive leopards are among the top predators in the crater.

You’ll enjoy a half-day game drive and a lunch stop at Maji Moto Hot Springs, where you can relax and take in the natural beauty before heading to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park to Moshi

After breakfast, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its iconic baobab trees and vast elephant herds. The Tarangire River, a key feature of the park, attracts wildlife during the dry season, offering excellent opportunities for game viewing. Some highlights include:

  • Hartebeests and Gazelles: Common grazers in the park.
